E-commerce still robust despite economic situation
Posted on Thursday, 16 April 2009 14:17Although 2008 was hard on most facets of the economy, comScore, a global Internet marketing data and services information provider, affirmed that e-commerce was up 2% this January compared to last year. comScore also recently released that internet searches are up 38% from last year and such a jump is due to the number of people online searching not only more days during the month, but also more times each day. Conversely, the U.S. Commerce Department reported that retail sales decreased over 5% in the same month.
